How to configure chat Server in Linux redhat
Hello guys today we will learn how to configure chat server in Linux.its a very simple method if we configure chat server we be able to conversation with our system to other system .if you have real Ip address you can connected any where to our partner.and if you dont’t have real ip address then you can also connected in local wi-fi network. Chat server is very beneficial for our conversation.here i configure chat server and communicate with windows machine
so let we start how can we configure in our Linux machine .Before we will configure YUM server in our machine. if you want to know how to configure yum Server in our Linux machine so click my link and visit.After yum configure we will install telnet package in Linux machine
we will install telnet package through this commands
[root@localhost ~]# yum install telnet*Then we will off our machine firewall through this commands
[root@localhost ~]# iptables -F
[root@localhost ~]# setenforce 0Actually Chat server is work on our system port 8888 . so we will on our system port 8888
[root@localhost ~]# nc -l 8888now our Linux machine in chat server is configuration is complete .now we will go our windows machine or our chat partner machine .
if your chat partner have also linux machine so not any issue. But if he have windows system or you have windows System so before you need to on our windows telnet client features on if you want to know how to on telnet Clint service so click here and look
then go our Clint machine and open command prompt and type just Linux ip address and his port number like this
(Note- you can look our Linux machine ip address through this commands #ifconfig )
telnet 192.168.0.101 8888
then you can chat with our partner
