How to configure YUM (yellow-dog updater modifier) in windows and how can we access in redhat linux server

hii guys today we will learn how can we configure YUM in windows.and how can we access in redhat linux server. basically we learn that how can we access YUM remotely .Here we will access YUM windows to linux .you can also configure other system in yum and access in linux .its all remotely process .here i will show you i have one windows machine and one linux machine in virtual box i configure YUM in windows and access in linux remotely .

we can access YUM through HTTP server or telnet if you want to know how can we make our windows HTTP server so please visit my last post how to transfer file  windows to linux click  and know how to configure HTTP server in windows .

Here when we configure HTTP server in windows then .

Step-1– before configure yum we need one linux iso file  rhel5.4 because this  iso file in include server folder and server folder is a most important folder in iso file  so please click to server folder and download to here.

step 2  here i accept you  download or have server folder we will just copy to server folder and pest in C driver

Step 3 then we go to linux in and just open # # vim /etc/yum.repos.d/a.repo    (then open file we will put just like this cod)

# vim /etc/yum.repos.d/a.repo

buseurl=http:// 192.168.0.108 /c:/Server (note- here i put my ip address you will put your windows ip address . if you not able hoe to know windows ip address so click how to know windows ip  .this all process based on HTTP server you can also learn how to make HTTP server through this link)

then u will check through install any package

#yum install java*           ( Note- when u use (*) then all type java feature in install )

#yum remove jave        (Note- remember here we not use (*) uninstall time other wise all type java remove to your redhat linux server .maybe u loss some important file so care full don’t  use (*).
